How We Find the Cause

Hesitation, hard starts, poor fuel economy, or fuel-related codes (P0171, P0174, P0300) need fuel pressure testing, injector inspection, and fuel filter check. We measure fuel pressure at idle and under load, perform an injector balance test (cylinder contribution), and inspect fuel filter condition where accessible. Modern direct-injection engines also need intake valve carbon assessment.

What Not to Assume

Poor fuel economy is rarely the fuel system alone , it's also tire pressure, alignment, brakes dragging, a dirty MAF, ignition issues, or a stuck thermostat. We test broadly before recommending an induction service.

We find the cause. We test broadly first, fuel pressure, injector activity, and related sensors, since poor economy is rarely the fuel system alone.

We show you what we found. We show you what the testing found, so an induction or fuel service is based on evidence, not a default upsell.

Why Drivers Choose Us

We clean induction systems with manufacturer-approved chemicals and a proper procedure , not a "bottle in the tank" pour-in. Direct-injection engines especially benefit from walnut-blast intake valve cleaning at recommended intervals.

Some people drop the keys and keep moving; some settle in. Either way works here.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's the difference between a fuel system service and a "fuel injector cleaning"?

Pour-in cleaners are mild fuel additives. Mango's induction service includes pressurized cleaner introduced into the intake at running conditions, plus throttle body and fuel rail cleaning.

  • Do I need walnut blasting?

Direct-injection engines (most modern turbo, many BMW, Audi, GDI engines) develop intake valve carbon that pour-in cleaners cannot remove. Walnut blasting is platform-specific. We recommend if symptoms match.

  • Will higher-octane fuel clean my engine?

No , octane is a knock resistance rating, not a detergent. Use the octane your manual specifies. Detergent packages vary by brand (top-tier brands have more).

  • Why does my engine hesitate on acceleration?

Could be fuel pressure, injectors, ignition, MAF, or transmission. We test fuel pressure under load first.
