How We Find the Cause

Diesel diagnostics start with a scan of the engine ECU AND auxiliary modules (transmission, DPF, EGR, glow plug controllers). We read live data: rail pressure, fuel temperature, intake air pressure, boost, EGR position, DPF differential pressure, soot accumulation, glow plug current draw. Specific to common-rail diesels (Duramax, Power Stroke, Cummins, VW TDI, Mercedes Bluetec), we pressure-test the fuel rail and inspect for return-line leakage.

What Not to Assume

A diesel "running rough" is not always injectors. It can be sensor (CKP, CMP, MAF, MAP), fuel pressure, low compression on one cylinder, or wiring (EGR, intake throttle). Frequently Asked Questions

  • My diesel is hard to start when cold. What's the diagnostic path?

    Glow plugs, intake heater (where applicable), battery condition under load, fuel pressure at cranking, and compression test if symptom suggests. We run each in order.

  • My diesel goes into limp mode under acceleration. What's wrong?

    Common causes: turbo overboost, EGR sticking open, DPF clogged, sensor fault (MAP, MAF). We scan and read boost data under load.

  • Do you do delete kits?

    No , emissions-delete work, defeat devices, and tuning to bypass emissions are not we service.

  • My truck is throwing a fuel rail pressure code. Pump or injectors?

    Could be either, plus the rail pressure sensor itself. We test rail pressure with a known-good gauge before approving expensive pump or injector work.
