Power Steering Repair
Need Power Steering Repair? We diagnose and handle power steering work across New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. We find the cause before we quote the fix and get your approval before any work begins, with eligible repairs backed by our 5-year/60,000-mile warranty.

How We Find the Cause
Heavy steering, noise when turning, or steering fluid leaks need diagnosis. For hydraulic power steering, we check fluid level and condition, inspect pump and hoses for leaks, test pump pressure, and verify rack performance. For electric power steering (EPS), we scan the EPS module, check battery voltage stability under load (EPS draws heavy amps), and inspect steering angle sensor calibration.
Each sound points somewhere different:
what each steering noise means.
What Not to Assume
Whining when turning the wheel does not always mean a failing pump , sometimes it's low fluid, air in the system from a recent service, or a worn belt. Heavy steering on an EPS vehicle is often a low-voltage issue (weak battery, dirty connections), not a failed assist motor.

Complimentary both-way Lyft rides keep you moving while we diagnose the steering.
Tell us the symptom. What you're noticing is where we start.
We find the cause. We diagnose by type, fluid, pump, and hoses on hydraulic systems, or a module scan and voltage check on electric power steering.
We show you what we found. We show you the cause, a leak, a failing pump, or an EPS fault, so the fix matches the actual system.
You approve before any work begins. No surprise charges, ever.
We do the work right and back eligible repairs with our 5-year/60,000-mile warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between hydraulic and electric power steering?
Older vehicles use a belt-driven pump and fluid. Newer vehicles use an electric motor on the steering rack or column. Diagnostic approach is different for each.
Why does my steering get heavy only sometimes?
Could be EPS sensitivity to battery voltage, low fluid (hydraulic), or air in the hydraulic system. We scan EPS modules and inspect fluid.
Can I drive with a power steering leak?
Short term yes, but the fluid drops and the pump runs dry, which destroys the pump. Stop the leak.
What fluid does my car use?
Many vehicles use specific power steering fluid (Honda PSF, Mercedes spec, Pentosin). Using ATF or generic fluid damages seals on those platforms. We use what the platform requires.
